Amble 2017 - Planned Events

Amble Puffin Festival

Taking place during May half term (main events 27th-29th May) - please visit www.amblepuffinfest.co.uk for full details.

Amble Harbour Village will be hosting Puffintastic Crafts on Sat 27th, Sun 28th & Mon 29th May from 11am- 3pm each day in the Seafood Centre. Sheila Cartwright will be running the activity and each session will be charged at £2/child (Children must be accompanied by an adult).

The Seafood Centre will also be hosting Children's storytelling with Stephen Finlay. At 10am, 12 noon & 3pm each day, on Wed 31st May, Thurs 1st & Fri 2nd June. Each session is free and lasts for approximately 45mins. Suggested age for these sessions is 4-12yrs. 

Mauretania Day

 

Sunday 2nd July (10am-4pm)- Celebrating the Mauretania ship and the name of 'the kindliest port', that it gave to Amble in 1935.

We will have a 1930s theme, music and vintage cars  on display. Look out for our 'acts of random kindliness' throughout the day!

Harbour Day (Sun 27th Aug) - Sunday before Aug Bank Holiday

 

Amble Lifeboat Fundraisers will be putting on their annual event to raise awareness and funds for this fantastic, local, voluntary service.

Amble Christmas Lights and Torchlight procession - November Sunday 19th approx. 5pm start.

 

The annual lights switch on and procession through the town with lanterns and floats from local businesses and organisations, ending with stalls food and entertainment in the town square.
